FAQ

  • I’ve seen so many practitioners… how do I know this will be different?

That’s a fair question. Most of my clients have already tried a long list of things— from supplements to specialists to DIY— + still feel like something’s missing.

I help people understand what’s really going on inside their body so making healthy choices stops feeling so hard.

When you know why you’re tired, bloated, anxious, or craving certain foods, it’s a lot easier to take care of yourself in ways that actually work. We use functional testing, nutrition strategy, + nervous system support to help you reconnect with your body’s cues + rebuild trust in your own process.

  • Do you do meal plans?

I totally get why you’d ask—and I used to do that for about a year. But I realized pretty quickly that it’s just not my philosophy.

Don’t get me wrong, I’ll absolutely teach you how to nourish your body through food and lifestyle choices, but simply telling you what to eat or when to eat misses the point.

Instead, we focus on understanding why your body is asking for certain things—whether it’s support with digestion, hormones, stress, or energy—and build from there. The goal isn’t restriction; it’s understanding. Once you see the why, the choices start to feel natural instead of forced.

  • Do you use lab testing?

Sometimes! I don’t believe in ordering everything under the sun—we only use testing when it brings clarity + helps us take more intentional action.

The most common functional labs I use are the DUTCH test (for hormones + cortisol patterns), the GI-MAP (for gut health + microbiome insights), + the OAT test (for nutrient status + metabolic function). I’ll also review routine bloodwork from your doctor so we’re working with what you already have.

Many clients see meaningful shifts just from the first few changes we make based on their story alone—testing simply helps us go deeper when it makes sense.

  • What if I’m not sure which service is right for me?

Totally normal! Most people aren’t sure where to start. Each service meets you at a different point in your journey, + we can figure out what fits best together.

If you’re unsure which direction to go, book a Discovery Call here. It’s a quick, no-pressure chat where we talk through your goals, symptoms, + what kind of support will serve you best. You don’t have to have it all figured out before reaching out—that’s exactly what the call is for!

  • Do you take insurance or offer payment plans?

I don’t work directly with insurance, but HSA/FSA funds are often accepted. I also offer flexible payment options—just ask before booking and we’ll find what works best.

For those looking for a more budget-friendly way to get support, you can explore my Ripple Offerings, which are curated seasonal packages designed to provide guidance and tools at a lower investment.

  • Can we meet virtually?

Yes! Functional medicine sessions can be done entirely online for my out-of-town lovelies. You’ll still get the same level of depth + support. The Restorative Unwind + Ripple Reset, however, is in-person only (obviously lol) beginning in 2026.

  • What kind of commitment does the functional medicine journey require?

You can absolutely book a one-time session if you just want clarity or direction—that’s always an option. But where the secret sauce + real progress happens is in the monthly follow-ups: that’s where we get to see how your body responds
+ make those small, meaningful tweaks that keep the momentum going.

Healing takes time, and most clients work with me for about 4–6 months as we track, adjust, + fine-tune along the way. Every body has its own pace—some people need less time, while others (especially in more complex cases) might stay closer to a year.

  • What if I've tried to be healthy but can't seem to stick with it?

You’re not failing—you’ve probably just been approaching it the wrong way. Most of the people I work with have tried diets, rules, + “shoulds” that end up feeling restrictive + exhausting.

At Ripple, we focus on expansion rather than restriction. We avoid diet culture and Instagram influencers, + instead help you unpack what “healthy” truly means for you—for your digestion, energy, hormones, stress, + lifestyle.

Once you have that clarity, making choices that actually support you stops feeling like a battle. Health becomes something you move toward naturally, instead of something you have to force.

  • Do you work with specific conditions?

I don’t treat conditions, I work with people.

That said, many of my clients come in with things like fatigue, gut issues, hormone imbalance, burnout, or chronic pain. The goal isn’t just to name what’s wrong, but to understand how everything connects + support your system back toward balance.
